The final step in making the gift bag is to join the bottom and one side
of the knitted piece together. To figure out which side is the top and which
side is the bottom, look at the rows. The top of the bag will be the first 7
rows you stitched and the bottom is the other end. Next, fold the bag in
half, with the right sides facing each other. From the ball of yarn that you
were using, cut a long piece. Use a darning needle and a long piece of the
yarn you knitted with to sew the bottom and the side together. Turn the gift
bag inside out. Finally, run a long piece of ribbon through the eyelets at
the top of the bag and tie the ends together.
