Have
you ever received a mini calendar in the mail? You know the kind that has a
magnet at the top of the calendar with an ad for a real estate agent or a dentist.
What do you do with the magnet once the calendar year has finished? Well, here's
a project that's the perfect way to recycle those magnets so that you don't have
to throw them out in the garbage.
Supplies you will need:
Hold your fabric over the magnet. Move the fabric around until you are happy with the piece that will cover the magnet. Keeping the magnet in place, put the fabric on the table with the right side facing down. Use the ruler to measure 1/2 inch from the magnet on all sides and then use the fabric pencil to draw a line. Following the lines you just drew, cut out the fabric.
Next, place newspaper on the table to cover it. Place the magnet on the newspaper and lightly spray the magnet with the spray adhesive. Now position the fabric in place and press down. If you need to, smooth out the fabric so that there are no wrinkles. Turn the magnet over and lightly spray the edges of the fabric. Fold the fabric over and press into place. If you need to, wipe off any excess spray adhesive.
Your recycled magnet is now finished! Put it on your fridge and let it brighten your day every time you see it!
