Brief Description:

The linen stitch creates a woven look to the finished piece, which gives it an elegant and sophisticated look.

Uses:

You can use the linen stitch to create knitted dishcloths, scarves, shawls and even small blankets. The linen stitch will add a hint of sophistication to any project!

Pattern Instructions:

Here is the pattern to use when you want to knit the linen stitch. Knit each row in multiples of 2 plus 2 stitches. For example: (2 stitches multiplied 10 times) plus 2 = 24 stitches. The example featured here uses 24 stitches – as calculated by (2 * 10) + 2.

  1. Cast on 24 stitches.
